Canadian and European Beavers

There are two species of beaver in Europe, the native European Castor fiberis and the introduced Canadian Castor canadensis (aka North American Beaver). The field signs of both are identical so when finding marks and signs (such as in this photo) it is hard to decide which species is responsible. Photo taken in the Patvinsuo National Park, Finland where apparently only Canadian Beaver occurs.
