Marten Dropping

Dropping of a mustelid, probably a Beech Marten Martes foina or a Pine Marten Martes martes. Such droppings are often placed in prominent places, like paths or logs, where other mustelids can easily see them. Thus, though are often rather pungent they are also meant as visible markers. One Euro coin for size comparison. Found in a mixed forest in Slovensky kras, Eastern Slovakia.
